A 20-bedded home situated in a village setting midway between Chester-le-Street and Durham, benefiting from local shops, pubs, Post Office and Cricket Club, with good transport links to Newcastle, Durham, Chester-le-Street and neighbouring villages.

Staffed by a well qualified team of nurses, carers and ancillary staff, residents’ needs are met through individually tailored care plans designed to meet their rights to privacy, dignity, respect, independence and to making their own choices and decisions. A full range of activities are provided to promote these rights, and residents are also encouraged to maintain outside contacts with family and friends.

Registered as a care home for adults and older persons (65+) with functional mental illnesses the home has a very good relationship with, and receives much support from local GPs, District Nurses, CPNs and Social workers, whilst also benefiting from visits by the clergy, optician, dentist, chiropodist and hairdresser should the residents be unable to access these services outside the home.
