Ridge House is homely with a team of dedicated staff providing care of the highest quality.
Ridge House is a 28 bedded residential care home for older people who wish to reside in a homely environment with the benefit of 24 hour care. The care to residents is delivered by a team of dedicated staff who work to ensure that individual needs are met and that residents independence is maintained for as long as possible. The home is also able to provide care for older people with dementia and similar mental health problems (EMI).
Mental Health Care took ownership of Ridge House at the end of August 2005 and since then have implemented a rigorous programme of improvements to the communal living areas. Other redecoration and refurbishment of residents rooms is planned and additional facilities such as a hairdressing room are being fitted.
The Home is situated on Beach Road and is easily accessed by public transport as well as having ample parking facilities. It only a short distance from the sea and beach of South Shields and is close to local amenities.
The staff team at the home provide care and support to residents, ensure that the environment is clean and tidy and that meals are tasty and nutritious. Each shift is led by a senior carer who co-ordinates activities of the care and ancillary staff ensuring quality of care to residents and that the home is maintained to a clean, healthy and safe standard.
